Q-Line Editor
Q-Line Editor is required to create and manage manufacturing lines. This module provides graphical tools to mimic the physical line layout consisting of stations and operations. It also provides tools to categorize stations and operations into functional groups. For example, station groups such as machining, assembly, and test can be set up and individual stations can be assigned to these groups. Such a grouping would facilitate better reporting and analysis capabilities. Additional user attributes such as brass tag numbers, descriptions, etc. can also be created on the fly.
Q-Line Editor supports various station/operation relationships such as:
- A Station with multiple operations: Q-Line editor provides configuration features to capture all the “granular” data elements, when a single physical station performs multiple operations on a part
- An Operation with multiple stations: A “logical” operation can be configured to contain multiple stations (physical pieces of equipment). For example, test stations, manufacturing cells, etc.
- Parallel Stations and Operations: Supports configuring parallel stations and operations. The reports will only show the stations and operations through which the parts traversed.
