Q-Plant Editor
Q-Plant Editor is an integral component of the “system configuration” module group. It provides graphical user interfaces to configure and manage “plant specific” criteria, hence rendering Q-Trace totally flexible and scalable. Some of the key configuration features are listed below:
- Plant Management
- Create and manage multiple plants. Most competing products require a new install for each plant, but with Q-Trace it’s just a configuration item. This allows a single Q-Trace “install” to manage and “serve” multiple plants.
- Users Management
- Create and manage users and user groups (plant level and/or corporate level). The user/group levels are configurable to allow / restrict access to all the modules and functionality within Q-Trace. For example, a user can be set up to be an Administrator with access to everything, and another user can be set up to have access to only a single configuration feature within a specific module such as Q-Plant Editor.
- Line Management
- Delete manufacturing / assembly lines created using the Q-Line editor. This feature also provides a “deletion impact” analysis, hence restricting users (even with Administrative privileges) from accidentally deleting an active Q-Line configuration.
- Hardware Management
- Manage multiple reading devices and their drivers. This provides flexibility to read data from multiple devices and support any future devices that could be added.
- Project Management
- Delete tag projects that are created using the Q-Tag editor. This feature also provides a “deletion impact” analysis, restricting users (even with Administrative privileges) from accidentally deleting an active Q-Tag configuration.
